About SWECSON

Strengthening Civil Society Leadership Across the South West Region of Cameroon since 2003.

Our Mission

To mobilize civil society organizations to serve and promote the interest and welfare of local populations and CSOs in the furtherance of visionary, participatory and sustainable development across the South West Region.

Our Vision

A South West Region where civil society organizations are empowered, coordinated, and recognized as key drivers of sustainable development and good governance.

Our Story

SWECSON was founded on the 23rd of August 2003 in Limbe by visionary civil society leaders who recognized the need for a unified network to address the pressing development challenges facing communities across the South West Region. What began as a small gathering of organizations has grown into a network of over 150 member organizations spanning all six divisions of the region, with a reach of over 500,000 people.

Today, SWECSON serves as the umbrella body for civil society organizations in the South West Region, providing a collective voice, building organizational capacity, and fostering partnerships that drive meaningful change in communities across Fako, Meme, Ndian, Kupe Muanenguba, Lebialem, and Manyu.
